About Joyce

Despite a successful profession in finance, Joyce gave up her day job a few years ago and embraced a new and exciting profession as a full-time writer. With the completion of two novels, The Space Between Right and Wrong and A Need to Forgive, Joyce is one step closer to fulfilling a long-time dream: having her work published.
Joyce’s mother immigrated to the United States shortly after WW2. She frequently shared stories from her childhood in Ireland, which sparked Joyce’s imagination and desire to write a story about that tumultuous and soulful country. While completing research for her first story, Joyce stumbled upon Langford Lodge, a secret airbase built in Northern Ireland by the Allied Forces. The base played a pivotal role in the victory against Germany and acted as the impetus behind The Space Between Right and Wrong, Joyce’s debut novel.
Joyce grew up in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan. Even though her primary residence is now Sunny South Florida, Michigan will always be home. When she’s not sitting at her desk researching her next story, one can find her playing tennis and pickleball. Her knees frequently object to these choices, as they feel abused and battered after decades of running.
After graduating from Central Michigan University with a degree in education, Joyce completed postgraduate work in finance. She regularly participates in online writing classes along with writing critique courses at Ringling College in Sarasota. Joyce belongs to the Women's Fiction Writing Association, Historical Novel Society, and Writer's Digest.
